How To Test Negative for Stupid: And Why Washington Never Will by John Kennedy 2025
John has too high opinion of himself. The first part of his book was rather interesting. He never misses a chance to be clever. And he has two facets to his character in his favor: 1) he is a lawyer and I generally admire practitioners of the law, and 2) he is a dog lover.
His story about Hurricane Katrina was riveting. He provides many interesting quotes and adages. But here in one riddle he missed: Who is the easiest person to fool? The answer: yourself.
So in 2016 when John decided to admire Trump, he drank the Kool-Aid and he became biased. He despised Democrats, so how could he possible work across the aisle. Now his thinking was dictated by his clan, shutting out ideas from elsewhere. It’s hard to have an original idea when you are glued to a party.
Before I read this book, the one thing. I knew about John Kennedy is a clip of him reading a book. In his deep Southern accent, he was quoting: “I can’t wait to have your cock in my mouth.” I would love to hear his explanation for that incident.
I have found that politicians are very weak in their study psychology. I believe they think they already know it all. To my mind many of them have a lot to learn about themselves and about human nature. In this group you will find the followers, not the originals.
